Welcome to the ESS Club page! “ESS” stands for English Speakers Society. Our club meets once a week at lunchtime to practice speaking and also after school for different activities. We often play English card games like ‘Apples to Apples’ or make different kinds of food that are popular in English speaking countries. From pop-culture to cultural history, we cover a wide range of topics. All are welcome to attend!
Autumn is known for its shorter and cooler days, as well as celebrations such as Halloween (Oct. 31st) and Thanksgiving (4th Thursday of November in America). Pumpkins are usually made into Jack-o’-lanterns before Halloween and are sometimes kept until Thanksgiving, a time to celebrate the harvest and things that you are thankful for from the past year.
